General Questions - Back to Top

How does this all work?
A network of computers containing a database of coops is accessed via a phone. Using touch-tones and/or voice recognition, data on coops is retrieved and updated.

Is this legal?
Yup, 100%!

How do you know if a coop is open or closed?
You tell us. After you pass a coop, you can call in and update that status of that coop, using the same methods used to find out if a coop is open or closed.

Why should I update a coop after I pass it? Isn't that your job?
No. Our job is to make sure all the computer stuff is working right, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Besides, we work in an office, there are no coops in our building.) Also it's to your benefit to update coops. Each coop you update gives you another day of service, free.

So how much is the service?
$19.95 per month. But if you update one coop per day, you'll only have to pay for one month and your subscription will NEVER expire.

Why shouldn't I just use the CB?
Liars. Low down assholes with nothing better to do will lie to you on the CB.

Can't they just lie on this service too?
Nope. With 10's of thousands of drivers using the service every day, we track and compare the information we receive. That let's us see who's lying and who's not. We hate liars. We kick off liars without a refund.

What if they come back?
They can't unless they get a new phone number. We found that most jerks won't waste the time or money it takes getting a new phone number to screw with other drivers.

So your system uses phone numbers to log us in?
Yup. Caller ID info tells us who's calling and we can log you in to the system automatically. If the Caller ID info is wrong or not available, you can log in by simply entering your phone number. You can call from someone else's phone too, just type in your phone number when prompted.

Can I share the service with my friends?
Please do tell your friends about this revolutionary new service! The more drivers we have reporting coop statuses, the better it works for everyone involved!

If I call and hear that a coop is closed, and then I drive past it and it's still closed, should I update it?
Yes. The time and date of each update is recorded and played back for each status request. The more updates we receive, the more accurate the service will be. The more accurate the service is, the more users will sign up. The more users that sign up, the more updates we will receive. (It keeps getting bigger and better!)

You said before that if I update one coop per day my subscription will never expire. Why do I have to have a subscription if it's free?
Because we track the system to see if anyone is lying about coop statuses, we need your info to differentiate between users. We do NOT share you info with any outside companies.

You've got to be making some money from this service. What do you do with it?
We don't make a dime, yet....

What if a scale is open after your service told me it was closed, and I got an overweight ticket? Are you going to pay the fine?
No. This service is meant to help drivers know when the coops are open or closed, not to help you break the law. We recommend you run legally at all times and use this service to inform yourself of when you'll pass an open scale, not to avoid ever passing an open scale.

How can you afford to give away free days of service from now to eternity for those of us who update coops?
The service DEPENDS on those of you who will update the coops to make it work for those who don't. Some people will pay $4.95 every 30 days to reinstate their account and some people will never pay a dime. Both will have access to the service as long as they pay or update coops. It's a member built service that will be as good as you make it.
